David joined the firm in 1985 when it was known as Archer, Parkin & Townsend and since that time has been instrumental in its growth and development. A law graduate from University College London, he qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and having been responsible for the financial side of the business since 1986, was Managing Partner/CEO from 1996 to 2010.
Over the years David has practised in the majority of areas of law and has gained a wide general knowledge - though he previously specialised in commercial and commercial property law, he now manages the firm's Wills Probate and Trusts Unit, where he is heavily involved with inheritance tax planning for clients of the firm. David still remains involved in the strategic development of Archers Law LLP.
David is a member of the Institute of Directors and holds or has held a number of local company directorships, including with businesses in the property sector, and was a non-executive member of the board of South Tees Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for 7 years following its creation. He also sat as Clerk to the Income Tax Commissioners for the Tees Valley Division and its predecessors from 1986 to 2009 and is involved with a number of charities. |

Head of Litigation Services, Bob qualified in 1983 and has been dealing with litigation of all types and in all levels of court in England. He acts for large and small companies in disputes from a few thousand pounds to hundreds of thousands. Litigation in the fields of professional negligence, company and partnership disputes, contract, nuisance and debt. Commercial tenancy disputes and residential tenancy cases. Wills and Probate disputes, trusts litigation, and inheritance claims. Employment contracts and unfair dismissal claims acting both for Claimants and Respondents.
Bob is also a qualified Notary Public.

John graduated with a degree in law in 1971 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1974. He has practised in Stockton-on-Tees since qualifying and has extensive knowledge and connections in the Tees Valley area. Since joining Archers in 1990, he has specialised in company and commercial law and corporate finance. He is a Member of the LLP, Head of the Commercial Unit and is widely recognised as one of the top company lawyers in the area. |

Angela joined Archers in 1991, qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, and then as a solicitor in 1997. She became a member in the firm in 2001. For the past 19 years Angela has worked exclusively in Personal Injury law, and is one of the regions leading expertise in the areas of industrial disease litigation and industrial accidents. Angela is a local lady who believes strongly in fighting local peoples causes.
Angela is the Head of the PI unit and Head of the Private Client Department. |

A late-comer to the law, having qualified in 1994, after 10 years service with Northumbria Police. Alistair has specialised in Personal Injury work for a number of years and is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and the association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Alistair is also a qualified Mediator and deals with Mediations of all types of dispute. |

A graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University, Chris joined Archers in 1991 as a trainee Solicitor and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1993. Chris became a member in the firm in 1998. Chris deals exclusively with commercial property matters and has particular expertise in the areas of property development and landlord and tenant. |

Family Unit Manager and law graduate from Newcastle University, Ann is a Resolution (formerly known as Solicitors' Family Law Association) Accredited Specialist in financial matters arising from divorce and private children law applications. She has experience of cases of high net worth and those involving a foreign element.

Elizabeth specialises in employment law and has received national recognition as a leading adviser within the North East. Elizabeth provides the following services: tailor made contracts and policies; HR employment support including practical options and solutions; updates and presentations; compromise agreements and tribunal representation. Elizabeth’s clients refer to her work as being:- ‘first class’ and ‘absolutely spot on’.
By way of background, Elizabeth qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and was recruited by Archers Law in 2002, to further strengthen the Employment Team. Elizabeth was Archers Law’s first Associate appointment and in 2009 was appointment Member of the firm and President of the Tees Valley Law Society.
Elizabeth has also worked with ACAS, Business Link, Tees Valley Law Society, Unite the Union (formerly TGWU) and a local HR Practitioners Forum in providing employment updates and seminars within the Tees Valley area.
